Dallas weather: Storms return this week with large hail and tornado threat

We have some chances for rain today, but much better chances tomorrow. Meteorologist Ali Turiano has your forecast.
Following a few morning showers in the eastern counties, expect a warm and breezy Monday. High temperatures will climb into the low 80s under partly cloudy skies.
As an upper-level low-pressure system moves to the west, scattered storms will move into the region Tuesday afternoon. Some of these storms could become severe, with the primary threats being large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.

Another cold front arrives in Texas midweek with a renewed chance for rain and strong storms.
While we saw severe weather across parts of the state on Saturday, the bulk of the action happened in North Texas but don’t let your guard down yet. That system will influence our weather in Central Texas throughout much of next week, bringing daily chances for rain and thunderstorms.
By next Friday morning, the Austin metro area’s rainfall totals could reach 2 to 3 inches with isolated amounts of up to 4 inches in areas. That would be the most rain we’ve had in a storm event lasting multiple days since early July.
