Former Auburn defensive lineman commits to SEC rival, reports say
One of Auburn’s young defensive linemen is reportedly off to one of the Tigers’ biggest rivals.
Amaris Williams committed to Georgia on Thursday, according to reports from On3 and CBS Sports. Williams spent two seasons at Auburn and played significant snaps in 2025.
He finished the 2025 season with 14 tackles, six tackles for loss and two sacks.
He’s one of nine defensive linemen from the 2025 roster to leave the program and the second to land at another SEC school. The first was Malik Blocton, who committed to LSU on Thursday morning.
Auburn has signed one defensive line transfer so far, that being former Arkansas State standout Cody Sigler.
