Explosion reported at nursing home in Bucks County; reports of people trapped
BRISTOL TWP., Pa. (WPVI) — An explosion and fire have been reported at a nursing home in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
It happened around 2:15 p.m. at the Silver Lake Nursing Home on the 900 block of Tower Road in Bristol Township.
There are multiple reports of people trapped, Action News has learned.
Video from the Action Cam showed flames erupting from the building. Debris could be seen scattered around.
One woman who works at the facility said she has been trying to contact co-workers, but no one is answering their phones.
A man who showed up at the scene said his wife works at the nursing home and he hasn't yet heard from her.

Emergency crews are responding to a mass casualty incident at a Pennsylvania nursing home after a reported fire and explosion, fire and police officials say.
The Silver Lake Nursing Home is located about 20 miles northwest of Philadelphia in Bristol Township.
It is not immediately clear if there are injuries and the situation is ongoing.

Emergency crews respond to reported explosion at nursing home in Bucks County
Emergency crews responded to a reported explosion at a nursing home in Bristol, Pennsylvania.
The incident occurred at the Silver Lake Nursing Home on 905 Tower Road on Tuesday, Dec. 23, around 2:30 p.m., officials said. According to the Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department, an explosion and fire occurred in the basement of the building.
The fire reached two alarms, officials said. Officials have not yet revealed if anyone was seriously injured.
Firefighters from multiple departments responded to the scene. Smoke could be seen rising from the badly burned building which partially collapsed.
A nurse who works at the home told NBC10 there is normally around 50 people inside the building at a time and the nursing home residents range in age from 50 to 95. She also said she normally arrives to work at 2 p.m. but happened to be late on Tuesday.
