LONGWOOD, Fla. — Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma says his deputies shot and killed a child porn suspect.
Lemma says the suspect, identified as Gary Guckenberger, raised a gun at deputies surveilling the area.
The incident happened along Hatfield Court on Wednesday, about a week after receiving tips about illegal activity.
“So as we were conducting surveillance, Gary Guckenberger came out of his house,” Lemma said. “He was on a walker. He walked down to the middle of the driveway. Our detectives and investigators looked at that as an opportunity to apprehend him without incident. He immediately reached into his waistband and pulled out a .38 revolver and raised it up.”
