FAA investigates after jet skids off Harry Reid Airport runway as officials review records
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A private jet carrying actor Donnie Wahlberg narrowly avoided a far more serious crash Sunday morning at Harry Reid International Airport when the plane aborted takeoff, ran off the end of the runway, and struck a perimeter fence.
Wahlberg, the brother of actor Mark Wahlberg, was one of eight people on board the Dassault Falcon 50. After the close call, Wahlberg had an emotional message: “Just finished praying and I looked out the window and thought we are not going up in the air today and all is well okay don't worry.”
The jet remained on the other side of the airport’s perimeter fence, surrounded by yellow tape. The fence had already been repaired.
