'Bachelorette' alum Joe Amabile gives health update on brain tumor
"Bachelor in Paradise" alum Joe Amabile is on the road to recovery after undergoing surgery for a brain tumor.
Amabile, 40, was released from a New York hospital on Aug. 9 after having brain surgery days earlier, his wife, fellow former "Bachelor in Paradise" star Serena Pitt, said on Instagram.
"They got it all!" Amabile wrote in his own Instagram post on Aug. 6 after the surgery.
In July, Amabile revealed that doctors found a "blueberry-sized" lesion on his brain, which looked to be a brain tumor known as a glioma, after an MRI. He said he would undergo a brain surgery known as a craniotomy to get the tumor removed and tested.

The Bachelorette alum Joe Amabile revealed that he has undergone brain surgery following his brain tumour diagnosis.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Amabile shared photos from his hospital bed after having the tumour removed.
Amabile first shared his diagnosis on July 13, revealing that doctors found “what looks to be an early stage brain tumour” in his head after undergoing a full-body MRI scan.
In a video posted to Instagram, the 40-year-old reality star said, “So a little medical update… they ended up finding a lesion in my brain so then I had to go get a brain MRI. There was a blueberry-size lesion in my brain that looks to be a glioma which is a tumour.”

Bachelor Nation’s Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt shared updates on his health after he underwent brain surgery for a blueberry-sized lesion.
Less than a month after the Bachelor Nation alum announced he’d been diagnosed with a brain lesion the size of a blueberry, he announced he’d undergone surgery to have it removed.
And best of all, as he announced in his Aug. 7 Instagram post, “They got it all!”
Accompanying the encouraging caption was a photo carousel showing the 40-year-old smiling in his hospital bed with a bandage around his head, another photo of Amabile throwing up a piece sign in his room, one featuring his wife of four years Serena Pitt holding his hand as well as a snap of celebratory sweet treats.
