Netflix 2026 Film Slate Includes Dates For 'War Machine' & More
On Wednesday, Netflix unveiled its full film slate for 2026, announcing release dates for the films War Machine, Remarkably Bright Creatures, and Tyler Perry’s Joe’s College Road Trip, while setting additional cast for the animated Swapped, and unveiling some first-look photos.
A sci-fi actioner starring Alan Ritchson, War Machine is slated for release on March 6. The logline: During the final stage of US Army Ranger selection, an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat. Pic’s director is Patrick Hughes, who also produced and co-wrote the film.
Dated for May 8, Remarkably Bright Creatures is an adaptation of the bestselling book from Shelby Van Pelt. The story follows Tova (Sally Field), an elderly widow who forms an unlikely friendship with the curmudgeonly Marcellus — a giant pacific octopus that lives at the aquarium where she works. Unbeknownst to Tova, Marcellus is on a mission to solve a mystery that will heal the widow’s heart and lead her to a life-changing discovery. Directed and co-written by Olivia Newman, the film also stars Lewis Pullman, Colm Meaney and more.
