Edison man charged with fatal stabbing of 26-year-old township woman
EDISON – A township man has been charged with murder after he allegedly fatally stabbed a Grove Avenue woman on Dec. 21.
Jordan D. Jackson-Small, 35, has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon in connection with the death of Imani Smith, 26, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
At about 9:18 a.m. Sunday authorities received a 911 call of a stabbing and on their arrival at the Grove Avenue home, they found Smith with stab wounds. Ciccone said.
Smith was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where she was ultimately pronounced dead.
