Suns 130-118 Spurs (Nov 2, 2025) Game Recap

PHOENIX — — Devin Booker scored 28 points, Grayson Allen and Ryan Dunn each added 17 and the hot-shooting Phoenix Suns handed Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs their first loss, 130-118 on Sunday night.

Wembanyama had a rare off night, scoring nine points on 4-of-14 shooting while grabbing nine rebounds. It was the first time he was held to fewer than 10 points since Oct. 30, 2024, when Oklahoma City limited him to six.

The 7-foot-4 Wembanyama — who also had six turnovers — had averaged 30.2 points and 14.6 rebounds during San Antonio's 5-0 start.

The Suns made 14 of their first 20 3-pointers and led by 31 points in the third quarter before settling for a 102-78 advantage heading into the fourth.

How did Phoenix Suns stymie Wemby? Takeaways from upset over San Antonio Spurs

The Phoenix Suns still have a losing record and are not too far removed from a four-game losing skid, but they’ve put together impressive consecutive wins, with the latest one a stunner.

The Suns knocked off the previously unbeaten San Antonio Spurs, 130-118, to conclude a three-game homestand Sunday, Nov. 2, before a sellout crowd of 17,071 at Mortgage Matchup Center. This comes two days after putting away the Utah Jazz, 118-96, Oct. 31 in their NBA Cup West Group A play opener. Utah beat Phoenix last week in Salt Lake City in overtime.

“It’s something we talked about before the game, stringing (wins) together,” Suns star guard Devin Booker said. “Understanding that it can turn over at any time, even after we had lost three or four straight (games). Just sticking with it. We have the right locker room, the right mentality, even after our losses, where you know it’s a place that you want to come in and continue to compete and get better.”

Suns Reveal Starting Lineup vs Undefeated Spurs

PHOENIX — The short-handed Phoenix Suns (2-4) snapped a four-game losing streak with a big 118-96 victory over the Utah Jazz Friday, but now take on a very tough test against Victor Wembanyama and the 5-0 San Antonio Spurs tonight.

Jalen Green (right hamstring strain) will be out for the seventh-straight game to start the season for Phoenix, while Dillon Brooks (core muscle strain) is missing his fourth game in a row.

Suns coach Jordan Ott gave an update on both players pregame, saying that Green has played in 5-on-5 scrimmages in back-to-back days, so they will see how he responds before Tuesday's road matchup against the Golden State Warriors.
