TPD: One person shot on Mission Road in Tallahassee Sunday, ongoing investigation
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – One person is in critical condition following a shooting on Mission Road in Tallahassee, according to the Tallahassee Police Department.
The shooting occurred at a residence located at 2800 Mission Road at about 11:22 a.m. Sunday, per TPD.
One person was shot in the incident and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, according to a TPD spokesperson. The department said the shooter was known to the victim.
TPD said no arrests have been made, and the investigation is currently active and ongoing.

Afternoon shooting injures victim in west Tallahassee
A Sunday afternoon shooting in west Tallahassee has left one person injured.
A Tallahassee Police Department Watch Commander confirmed that one person was shot at a residence in the 2800 block of Mission Road at about 11:22 a.m.
He said he wasn’t sure the exact condition of the victim, who had sustained “serious” injuries.
The watch commander said the shooting was an “isolated incident” with “no danger to the public.”
The shooting is at least the 48th serious shooting this year in the capital city and county. So far in 2025, 17 have died and at least 35 have been injured, according to a Tallahassee Democrat analysis of gun violence.

TPD: 1 person hospitalized after shooting on Mission Road Sunday
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Tallahassee police say a person was shot inside a residence on Mission Road Sunday. They say the attack happened on the 2800 block at around 11:22 a.m. Officers are still on scene.
Police have not arrested anyone at this point, but they have identified a suspect in this case. They say that person knew the victim.
The victim is currently in the hospital in "serious but stable" condition according to police.
This follows a separate shooting at a apartment complex on Mission Road just last month. Three people were hurt in that attack.
