The rain is expected to move out of the immediate Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex by the early morning commute at 4 a.m.
Warm and humid Monday for Houston ahead a stormy Election Day
We started off warm and muggy Monday with some patchy fog. The warmth and high humidity will continue through the day with highs reaching into the mid 80s. A few isolated rain showers are possible but most of Southeast Texas will stay dry.
We’re watching for some stormy weather on Election Day. Tuesday, a cold front will bring a threat of showers and some strong thunderstorms through the afternoon and early evening hours.
Right now, it looks like the front should be moving through Houston in the mid afternoon with storms moving just ahead of the front. Storms should be out of Southeast Texas by 9-10 pm.
