MTV Reality Star From ‘The Challenge’ and ‘Real World’ Dead at 34 After Cancer Battle
On Friday, October 23, Page Six reported that Anika Rashaun, who was on both The Real World and The Challenge, died on October 1 at just 34 after battling cancer. Rashaun would have celebrated her 35th birthday on Thursday, October 22, according to a friend's Facebook tribute.
A friend of Rashaun's, Tiara Ramos, made a Substack post mourning her. In her post, Ramos explained that Rashaun received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis last summer, calling it a "shock," and shared some heartfelt words about her.
"She was always so unapologetically herself, so real in her stances, her convictions, her beliefs," Ramos wrote. "Her ability to get what she wanted, to talk you into things, to convince you, was one of a kind. The way she showed up for her friends, fiercely loyal and loving to the end, was on a whole different level."

“The Challenge” and “The Real World” alum Anika Rashaun died earlier this month at age 34.
Rashaun passed away Oct. 1, over a year after she was diagnosed with stage four breast cancer.
Rashaun’s friend, Tiara Ramos, shared a tribute earlier this month where she said the late MTV star was “always so unapologetically herself.”
“Her ability to get what she wanted, to talk you into things, to convince you, was one of a kind,” Ramos wrote. “The way she showed up for her friends, fiercely loyal and loving to the end, was on a whole different level.”
Ramos also mentioned Rashaun’s accomplishments, including how she “appeared on reality TV not once but twice, went skydiving on a first date with a random guy and started creating her own businesses from the time she was a little girl.”
