Andrew Feinberg, a White House correspondent for The Independent, is speaking out after saying the White House removed him from his press pool duties on Thursday, just days after President Donald Trump confronted him in the Oval Office.
In a story published Thursday, Feinberg said he was slated to cover the president's midterm rally in Sioux City, Iowa, but received an unsigned email from the press office Wednesday informing him that he had been taken off the schedule.
The correspondent noted that the message did not explain why — but he called it "obvious" that he was being "punished" for jabs from Trump.

President Donald Trump directed his ire at yet another journalist this week, lashing out at The Independent’s Andrew Feinberg in the Oval Office and subsequently removing him from the White House press pool.
A verbal clash first broke out Tuesday at the Oval Office, when Feinberg asked Trump questions during a press gaggle.
“Wait, wait. Quiet,” Trump barked. “What’s wrong with you? Are you a sick person? I actually think there’s something wrong with you.”
