North Carolina State Fair brings families together for food, rides and traditions
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) — Fried Oreos, carnival rides and family traditions are drawing visitors to the North Carolina State Fair, where families are taking in everything from the midway to local vendors.
"We come every year," said Shawn Whitley and her daughter Sarah Liles.
"We've been coming since I was small. And I came every year when I was small. My parents always brought me," the two continued.
Now, she's sharing the experience with the next generation. There is plenty to see, do and eat across the fairgrounds, but one attraction has already become a favorite for the family: "The baby pigs," said Whitley.
