Star Wars' Next Series Is Officially Continuing The Clone Wars' Most Important Story
A new Star Wars series is on the horizon, and it will officially continue the most vital story arc introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. As for Star Wars TV shows, The Clone Wars started it all; its popularity led to sequels like Star Wars Rebels and undoubtedly influenced Lucasfilm's decision to shift the franchise toward Disney+ originals in 2019. Although upcoming Star Wars movies indicate another shift back to theatrical releases, Disney+ will still house some stories in a galaxy far, far away.
One such story is Ahsoka season 2. Set to be released on Disney+ in January 2027, Ahsoka season 2 will pick up where season 1 left off; Ahsoka and Sabine are trapped in the distant galaxy of Peridea, following the mysterious trail of Baylan Skoll, a former Jedi who looks to unleash a power that will stop the endless churn of good vs. evil in Star Wars. Meanwhile, Star Wars Rebels' beloved characters will face off with Grand Admiral Thrawn, a former Imperial leader who seeks to reinstate the Empire as the galaxy's ruling body.

Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 2 Is Going to Get "Weird," Teases Creator Dave Filoni
Ahsoka creator and Lucasfilm co-president Dave Filoni has teased what fans can expect from the second season of the Disney+ show starring Rosario Dawson as Anakin Skywalker's former Jedi trainee.
The Star Wars universe is getting weird. Well, weirder than usual.
Nearly four years after Ahsoka debuted on Disney+, the Dave Filoni-created TV series will finally continue in a second season, returning viewers to the strange world of Peridea.
Located outside the normal galaxy far, far away, the planet was home to the Witch Kingdom of the Dathmiri. One traditionally gets there by traveling inside the mouth of massive, whale-like creatures known as Purrgil.
