Stranger Things star Schnapp and former Strictly Come Dancing pro Manrara will be joined by Rupert Young, Juliet Cowan, Wallis Currie-Wood and Donald Sage Mackay in the production.

Affluenza‘s run has been extended to 28 November after high ticket demand. It premiered on 26 September at London’s Riverside Studios.

Janette Manrara is stepping out in 'Affluenza'

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara enters an exciting career chapter, as she stars in a thought-provoking new play.

Anyone who watched Janette Manrara burning up the Strictly dancefloor during her eight years on the hit BBC show knows that she’s a force of nature. However, they may not have realised that theatre was actually this charismatic performer’s first love. “I was a thespian in high school,” she explains. “I just loved telling stories.”

But, with more opportunities for dancing than acting in her native Miami, it was her fleet footwork that initially propelled her career, leading her to the American TV show So You Think You Can Dance, and then, in 2013, Strictly Come Dancing. Her celebrity partners included singers Peter Andre, Aston Merrygold and HRVY; she finished runner-up with the latter in her final series.

Noah Schnapp and Janette Manrara Star in London Play Affluenza

Actor Noah Schnapp and former Strictly Come Dancing professional Janette Manrara are starring in the world premiere of Andy Sandberg's dark comedic play Affluenza at London's Riverside Studios, which has extended its run through Nov. 28, 2026, following high ticket demand.

The production, which premiered on Sept. 26 as the first of five plays in the venue's Mainstage 26/27 season, is loosely inspired by a true story involving a privileged teenager whose drunk driving incident ends in devastation. Set in the Hamptons, the play examines themes of wealth, moral accountability, and the American justice system when the defense argues the teenager suffered from affluenza.
