And now, the Demacia Cup 2026 will crown the world’s best team that failed to qualify for LoL Worlds 2026.

Demacia Cup Swiss Stage Draw Revealed: Matchups And Predictions
Demacia Cup kicks off on October 3, and the first-round Group Stage matchups have been revealed. The tournament will feature mid-table teams from the LEC, LPL, LCK, LCS, and CBLOL, who will first face each other in a Swiss-format group stage.
The opening match will be a Bo1, while every other match will be a Bo3, before the tournament moves on to a single-elimination Bo5 bracket.
The matchup to watch in the opening round is Shopify Rebellion (LCS #4) vs. KT Rolster (LCK #5), as Shopify’s mid laner Yoo “Zinie” Baek-jin will finally have the chance to play against his former organization. It will be a tough match for the American fourth seed, as KT are the big favourites coming into the tournament.

'KT, BFX, HANJIN Enter the Fray' 2026 Demacia Cup Kicks Off Oct 3… Who Are Their Round 1 Opponents?
Another international tournament to offer some consolation after missing out on Worlds, the '2026 Demacia Cup Global Invitational (DCGI)', will run from October 3 to 17. Featuring 12 teams from six regions, the LCK will be represented by KT Rolster, BNK FearX, and HANJIN BRION, who finished 5th through 7th in the region.
Previously held as an off-season tournament for the Chinese region, the Demacia Cup has expanded into a global event this year. Twelve teams from six leagues—LCK, LPL, LEC, LCS, LCP, and CBLOL—will compete, with seeds awarded to the next highest-ranked teams in each region that narrowly missed out on Worlds qualification. This year, three seeds each were allocated to the LCK and LPL, which recorded the highest finishes at MSI.
