1 dead after shooting in Kailua Target parking lot
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – One person has died after a shooting in the Kailua Target parking lot Saturday.
The Honolulu Police Department said it was called to Hahani Street for a report of shots fired at around 8:30 p.m. and opened a homicide investigation.
A body was seen in the parking lot across from where the Kailua Fall Festival was taking place from 5 to 10 p.m.
Police said they requested Emergency Medical Services after shots were fired in front of the store.
Sources said a performer on stage announced a suspect was arrested and attendees were safe to go home.
