Netflix (NFLX) Gets a Bullish $110 Target: What’s Driving the Outlook?
On September 14, Evercore ISI raised its price target for Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX) from $100 to $110 while maintaining its Outperform rating. The research firm rolled its valuation framework forward to 2028 and applied a multiple of 25 times its 2028 EPS estimate.
The new price target represents more than 40% upside from the share price of $76.41 as of September 16. However, the stock has declined about 16% year-to-date and remains well below its 52-week high of $124.86.
Evercore ISI conducted its 58th quarterly US survey and 12th semi-annual Japan survey on Netflix, Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX), which showed multi-year high penetration of 63% in the US and a record-high 22% penetration in Japan.
Netflix Gets a $135 Bull Call Days After a $57 Cut
Netflix NFLX shares rose 0.70% premarket after BMO Capital reiterated an Outperform rating and $135 price target, pointing to proprietary consumer research it says shows Netflix still dominates U.S. streaming. In a survey of 940 U.S. consumers, BMO found 75% subscribe to Netflix and 37% name it their most preferred platform, twice the share of the nearest competitor. The firm argued the stock trading at 16.1x fiscal 2027 estimated adjusted EBITDA is a 31% discount to its five-year average, with a scaling ad business set to accelerate revenue in the U.S. and Canada.
The survey provides deeper metrics on engagement. BMO found 76% of subscribers said they use Netflix multiple times a week, and among subscribers, 37% have tried its podcasts and 36% its games, with early users reporting high satisfaction. BMO reads that as evidence Netflix's push beyond film and television is landing rather than diluting the core service.
