Khamzat Chimaev actually had to go until the second period to get a victory but the result was still the same as the former UFC champion dominated Gilbert Burns in the RAF 13 co-main event.
While he did give up a couple of takedowns, Chimaev never slowed down and he kept racking up the points until the score got to 15-4, which ended the match as the Chechen mauler moved to 3-0 in RAF. Now Chimaev is looking to add some gold to his resume.
“Of course, why not? He has the belt,” Chimaev said about facing RAF crossover champion Colby Covington next.

More than four years after their “Fight of the Night” battle at UFC 273, former UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev and one-time UFC welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns will finally run it back on the RAF wrestling mats for RAF 13 on Fri. night (Sept. 18, 2026) at Watsco Center on the University of Miami campus in Coral Gables, Florida.
Chimaev, 32, is a three-time Swedish national freestyle wrestling champion and a former medalist in the Russian junior national championships. As for Burns, who turned 40 back in July, his wrestling has been limited to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and submission grappling tournaments, putting him at a marked disadvantage for this Friday night’s rematch.
