Superintendent to leave Clermont County school district after 15 years
The superintendent of the Bethel-Tate Local School District will step down in January after more than 15 years with the Clermont County district.
The school board accepted Superintendent Melissa Kircher's resignation at its Sept. 15 meeting. Her final day will be Jan. 3.
Kircher joined the district in August 2011 and has helped lead Bethel-Tate through years of growth and change.
"Ms. Kircher has helped lead the district through years of change, challenges and progress, always with a focus on serving students, families and the Bethel-Tate community," the district said in announcing her resignation.
The district has more than 1,500 students from the Village of Bethel and Tate Township in four schools.

BETHEL, Ohio (WKRC) — The superintendent of Bethel-Tate Local Schools is resigning after 15 years with the district.
Melissa Kircher will step down on Jan. 3. The board of education accepted the move at Tuesday night's meeting. A reason was not given for her resignation.
In a statement, the district said Kircher helped lead "through years of change, challenges and progress, always with a focus on serving students, families and the Bethel-Tate community."
The district says it will share more about the change in leadership when it becomes available.
