Santa Ana girl April Salazar has special moment with Karol G at SoFi Stadium concert after mother sold tamales to afford tickets
INGLEWOOD, Calif. (KABC) — An 11-year-old girl and her mother had an unforgettable night during Karol G's concert Friday at SoFi Stadium, when the Colombian artist approached them in the front row, sang with the girl and then invited the audience to support the family's tamale business in Santa Ana.
Blanca Salazar was able to save enough money by selling tamales to buy front-row tickets for herself and her daughter, April Salazar. It was from those seats that the encounter with the singer took place.
"When she got to me, I said, 'She came to me. She's here. She's here. It's a dream. Someone pinch me. No, no, it's a dream,'" April said.
Karol G fans, ride ACE train to Levi's Stadium from Stockton: schedule
The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission will offer its ACE special event train service to Levi's Stadium for concerts this August starting Friday.
"Concerts at Levi’s Stadium draw fans from throughout our region, and ACE gives them an easy and convenient way to be part of the experience," said Chris Orlando, CEO of the San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission in a news release. "We’re excited to offer special train service for two of this summer’s biggest concerts, giving fans another reason to leave the car at home and enjoy the ride."
The first concert kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21 with Karol G's Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour.
