About three weeks after the son of former BYU running back Curtis Brown drowned in the familyâs swimming pool on July 26, Brownâs wife has commented publicly on 2-year-old Hazeâs accidental death and the emotional toll it has taken on the entire family.
In a heartbreaking post on Instagram, Kim Brown said she misses her baby so much that it âphysically hurtsâ every time she thinks of the coupleâs fifth child. Curtis and Kim Brown are also parents to triplets â Cruze, Kash and Julie â and a 12-year-old son, Trey.
The family lives in Clovis, California, a suburb of Fresno, where Kim works as a nurse and Curtis works in pharmaceutical sales. A GoFundMe account set up by the cousin of Kim Brown, Chandler Pearson, has raised more than $100,000 to cover funeral expenses and other funds needed to help the family recover.

“No word is big enough for the loss I feel. I feel like I’m already forgetting him. And that terrifies me,” Kimberly shared via Instagram on Monday, August 17. “Where did his head fall on my shoulder – cuddled perfectly into my neck? How tall was he again? What did his voice sound like? I know that I know these things. I knew them so well. But now I feel like I have to stop and search my memories for them.”

KIMBERLY Brown, the wife of former college football star Curtis Brown, has shared a gutwrenching post about the death of her two-year-old son.
Haze, Kimberly and Curtis’ son, drowned in the family’s swimming pool in late July.
He was found unresponsive in the pool by a family member who called for medical help.
CPR was attempted on Haze but he was later declared dead after being rushed to the hospital.
