Fisherman, 31, Found Alive in Underwater Sinkhole 15 Days After Vanishing
A popular Utah ice cream brand is filing for bankruptcy after losing a multimillion-dollar lawsuit against one of its largest competitors. Founded in 2017, Rebel Creamery, which is sold at major supermarkets including Walmart, Kroger, Safeway, and Target, listed between $10 million and $50 million in assets and debts in Fridayâs Chapter 11 filing for bankruptcy protection, according to court documents. The filing comes less than a month after a legal battle with fellow ice cream brand Van Leeuwen over trademark disputes. The New York-based ice cream company sued the keto-friendly, low-carb brand in 2021 for allegedly copying its branding, and Rebel Creamery was required to pay $23.8 million. âThe evidence at trial left no doubt that Rebel infringed and diluted Van Leeuwenâs trade dress and did so intentionally,â Judge Eric Komitee said regarding the ruling. Two days before filing for bankruptcy, Rebel Creamery appealed the decision.

A 31-year-old Mexican spearfisher has been rescued alive after surviving 15 days inside a flooded cave system in the southern Mexican state of Oaxaca.
Erasto Crisanto Valdez disappeared on 23 July while fishing with his father near San Francisco La Paz, in the municipality of Santa María Chimalapa, close to the border with Veracruz.
Valdez said he had entered the chamber in pursuit of a robalo, the Spanish word for common snook, but was unable to relocate the exit.
Using only a small cylinder of breathing air, he quickly ran out of air and lost consciousness, but woke to find himself inside a dry section of the cave.

A FISHERMAN has been rescued after a harrowing 15-days trapped 300ft down a water-filled sinkhole.
Erasto Crisanto Valdez ,31, vanished while fishing with his father in a cenote in San Francisco La Paz, Mexico, on July 23.
After over two weeks missing, rescuers presumed the man as dead and were “prepared to find his body”.
By some miracle he was found alive – reportedly trapped in a cave with an air pocket more than 328ft below the surface.
