Police: DUI driver crashes into power pole, knocks out power in NE Vancouver
VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) – A driver was arrested for DUI after crashing into a power pole in northeast Vancouver on Sunday evening, according to Vancouver Police.
According to Clark Public Utilities, thousands of customers in the northeast area near Mill Plain lost power around 6 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., 2,718 were without power and 959 had recently had power restored. As of 9 p.m., all but 65 had power back on.
City officials said the suspected DUI crash was at Northeast 112th Avenue and Northeast Burton Road and involved only one car.
