WSOP Main Event down to final 2 players with 22-year-old pro still in lead
Lucas Jumalon will battle Lauri Saaskilahti in heads-up play when the World Series of Poker Main Event continues Wednesday at Horseshoe Events Center.
At the end of Day 5 of the World Series of Poker Main Event, Lucas Jumalon and Lauri Saaskilahti told each other they were going to be the final two players standing.
“We kind of talked it into existence and it’s a pleasure to be here,” Jumalon said.
Jumalon held the chip lead when action in the $10,000 buy-in No-limit Hold’em World Championship was paused Tuesday at Horseshoe Events Center.
The 22-year-old professional poker player from Spokane, Washington, will battle Saaskilahti in heads-up play for the $10 million first prize when the tournament resumes Wednesday. Cards are set to be in the air at 6 p.m. with ESPN’s coverage scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
