The Bears hit their first significant issue in training camp Monday when starting safety Coby Bryant left practice with an apparent knee injury.
About midway through practice, Bryant landed uncomfortably while covering tight end Cole Kmet in a one-on-one drill. He slammed his helmet down in frustration, and teammates came over to check on him as he grabbed his left knee before he left on a cart.
Being carted off is not necessarily cause for concern given that the Bears were practicing on the fields farthest from Halas Hall. Any injured player would exit that way. The bigger concern was that it was a non-contact injury and he reacted so emphatically to it.

Coby Bryant Carted Off From Chicago Bears Practice After Apparent Leg Injury
The Chicago Bears have an injury concern with veteran safety Coby Bryant after he exited the first padded practice of training camp early on Monday.
According to CHGO Bears, Bryant had to be carted off the field after suffering an apparent left knee injury.
"Coby Bryant has left practice on a cart after landing awkwardly. Was grabbing his left knee/leg," CHGO Bears reported.
According to CHGO Bears' Adam Hoge, the injury occurred when he was going up against tight end Cole Kmet during a one-on-one drill. What's worse is that Bryant "was clearly emotional" while he made his way onto the cart, although Hoge adds that Bryant got onto the cart under his own power.
