Rocket Classic moves tee times in final round due to Detroit weather
The start time of the final round of the final Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club has been changed for Sunday, Aug. 2.
Tee times will be moved into the late morning and early afternoon, with players teeing from Nos. 1 and 10 in threesomes, the PGA Tour announced Saturday afternoon during the third round.
"Due to forecasted storms and rain overnight and into Sunday morning, tee times for the final round of the Rocket Classic will run from approximately 10:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. ET in groups of three from Nos. 1 and 10," the PGA Tour wrote.
Gates will open to the public at 9:30 a.m. Sunday; hospitality food and beverage service will begin at 11 a.m. The tournament expects play to end around 5:45 p.m., barring another playoff.
