Governor says electronic monitoring escapee arrested in his yard 'landed in a very unlucky circumstance'
Nearly two weeks after CWB Chicago revealed that a 10-time convicted felon wearing an electronic monitoring bracelet was arrested in the back yard of Governor JB Pritzker’s Gold Coast mansion, the governor is publicly addressing the incident for the first time.
Speaking with The Center Square, Pritzker said he does not believe 46-year-old Dwayne Milton intentionally targeted him when he climbed over the rear gate of the governor’s Chicago residence on Independence Day.
“I think this is a person who landed in a very unlucky circumstance of choosing to jump a fence on my block that happened to be my fence,” Pritzker said.
