Hooper (16-5-1 MMA, 8-5 UFC) looks to get back on track after dropping two straight against Alexander Hernandez and Lance Gibson Jr. His last win was a unanimous decision over Jim Miller, which was the last in a five-fight winning streak.
Ramirez (8-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC) is also on a two-fight skid, losing his UFC debut in March 2024 and his sophomore appearance last July. His most recent win was a first-round finish of Aireon Tavarres in December 2023.

The 26-year-old from Washington tipped the scales at 157.5lbs on Friday for his featured main card bout at UFC Oklahoma City against fellow American Mitch Ramirez.
Of course, it was far from ideal for Hooper, who had to weigh in at no more than 156lbs for the lightweight contest on Saturday to avoid further punishment.
Hooper's team must have decided the extra pounds needed to make the lightweight limit weren't going to come off, as he didn't try to make weight with a second attempt.
This has led to Hooper forfeiting 20 per cent of his purse for the Fight Night card in Oklahoma City, which is headlined by former champions Dricus du Plessis and Kamaru Usman.

At just 26 years old, Chase Hooper has already spent nearly seven years competing inside the UFC octagon. Once viewed as one of the promotion’s youngest prospects, the lightweight now finds himself in a different stage of his career as he prepares to face Mitch Ramirez this Saturday in Oklahoma City.
For Hooper, the perspective has changed, even if the motivation has not.
“I think I’m moving into middle-aged in MMA years,” Hooper said. “I’m not 30, so not quite halfway to retirement, but we’re working our way there. I still feel like I have a lot more fights left in me. It’s crazy to look back and see how far we’ve come, but I just take it fight by fight.”
