BIDDEFORD, Maine (WABI) – The Department of Homeland Security on Wednesday released new details about the man killed Monday in a shooting involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Biddeford. They said 25-year-old Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, a Colombian national, had illegally entered the U.S. on September 1, 2023, through the southern border.
DHS said agents were surveilling an address for a person with a final order of removal from the country. They said when ICE tried to stop a vehicle driven by someone coming from that address, “the vehicle attempted to flee the scene and, fearing for public safety, an officer discharged his weapon.”
