Update: Runway reopened after Air Canada 737 veers off taxiway at Trudeau airport
None of the 156 passengers on board was injured, but airport operations were disrupted.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating after an Air Canada flight veered off the taxiway after landing at the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport on Thursday afternoon.
“We have deployed investigators to the scene to gather information and assess the accident,” a spokesperson for the agency said in an email Friday.
Operations at the airport were disrupted for hours after Air Canada Flight 774 from Los Angeles ran off the taxiway.
No one was injured in the incident, but the north runway was closed while the aircraft was evacuated, the airport said. Airport Runway 6L/24R reopened several hours later, around 9:45 p.m., according to the FlightRadar24 live replay.
