LIVE: Sheriff to provide updates on Javeayah Harris case

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) – Aiken County Sheriff Marty Sawyer said Thursday that it’s unlikely that all remains of four-year-old Javeayah Harris will be located.
Sawyer said an investigation found the girls’ parents, Michilae Herring and Johnmarea Harris, allegedly used “corrosive chemicals and other tools” in an effort to destroy evidence after Javeayah was killed.
According to Sawyer, the two then poured what remains were left into the Cedar Creek Reservoir in Fairfield County – where he said some remains were recovered.

AIKEN, S.C. (WBTV) – The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office provided the latest updates Thursday morning in the search for a missing South Carolina girl.

The parents of missing 4-year-old Javeayah Harris were charged last week with homicide by child abuse as the search for her continues.
Javeayah was reported missing Tuesday, June 30, from her home near Hillsboro Street and Ridgecrest Road in Aiken. Deputies believe she is dead.
“We put every resource available to find Javeayah and bring her home safely,” Sawyer said. “Sadly, it was already too late to save her the moment the 911 call came in on June 30. At this time, our investigation supports that she has been deceased for at least one month.”
