City hosts free watch parties in Downtown park for Mexico and USA World Cup matches
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Due to popular demand, the City of El Paso will be hosting two outdoor watch parties for the Mexico and USA World Cup matches this week.
According to the City of El Paso, because of the successful turnout to their previous watch parties at Cleveland Square Park in Downtown, the City will be organizing two more watch parties, one on Tuesday for the Mexico vs Ecuador game and another on Wednesday when the USA faces Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"The incredible turnout at our previous watch parties showed just how much El Paso loves soccer," said Parks and Recreation Director Pablo Caballero. "We're excited to continue bringing the community together to celebrate the sport, cheer on their favorite teams, and enjoy another great evening in Downtown."

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Soccer fans are invited to GEODIS Park on Wednesday, July 1, for a free USA Soccer Celebration ahead of the United States' Round of 32 match.
The event, presented by Discount Tire, is free and open to the public and will take place in the Publix Plaza at GEODIS Park. Fans can enjoy food and drinks, music, interactive activities and a live watch party as Team USA takes the field.
Parking is available for purchase as an add-on when RSVPing for the event. Campus parking lots open at 3 p.m. CT. Officials urge those planning to attend to RSVP ahead of time because of limited spots. You can RSVP here.
