Knicks, Landry Shamet Agree To Four-Year Deal
The Knicks and free agent guard Landry Shamet have reached an agreement on a four-year, $24MM deal that will see Shamet remain with the defending champions, sources tell Shams Charania of ESPN (Twitter link).
Shamet, who has spent most of the past two seasons with the Knicks on minimum-salary contracts, returned from a shoulder injury to this winter and appeared in 51 regular season games for the team, averaging 9.3 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 23.0 minutes per game.
Shamet has been a reliable three-point threat for the Knicks since the start of the 2024/25 season, knocking down 39.4% of his outside shots. He was even better during New York’s title run this spring, making 29-of-61 three-point tries (47.5%) in 19 appearances off the bench.
