Dusty May shares injury updates for Michigan basketball roster
Michigan basketball is still riding the high of winning the national championship this past season, and with that, head coach Dusty May is still making the rounds.

According to On3’s Clayton Sayfie, Michigan Basketball PG L.J. Cason could play during the 2026-27 season thanks to an expected NCAA rule change:
Dusty May and the Michigan Wolverines are the reigning national champions this offseason and will look to repeat during the 2026-27 season. The rotation will look a lot different this season than last, and part of that is due to L.J. Cason’s ACL injury he suffered late last season.
College basketball insiders like Jon Rothstein were calling Cason the best backup point guard in the country prior to that injury, and for good reason. His jump in production was significant, going from 11.8 minutes per game as a freshman to 18.6 minutes this past season. He averaged 8.4 points, 2.4 assists and 1.9 rebounds while shooting 50.3 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from three.
