‘It’s demoralizing’: Vandalism at Norton Sports Center highlights need for youth summer programs
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Security videos and photos show two kids spraying hate symbols and sexual images on the walls of the Norton Sports and Learning Center in West Louisville.
Video shows two young people, Sadiqa Reynolds, the founder and president of the center, said, are responsible for the vandalism at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center late Saturday. WAVE News is blurring their faces because they may be minors, but screenshots of that video are displayed next to the track.
“Here, there was a swastika drawn and genitalia,” Reynolds said while pointing to a sign on the wall. “Here, this all was damaged, and we’ve cleaned that up.”
