Either way, deep tropical moisture is headed our way and is prompting two First Alert Weather Days – Thursday & Friday.
A Flood Watch is in effect from Thursday morning through late Friday night for much of North Georgia. Here’s what you need to know:
What’s the threat? Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected starting Thursday morning and continuing through Friday evening. The tropical moisture moving in will support high rain rates, with widespread rainfall of 2 to 4 inches possible. Some areas could see 5 inches or more. Urban areas and places with poor drainage are most susceptible to flash flooding.
