Disney Springs Resort Bus Verification Expected to Become Permanent at Walt Disney World

According to WDWMAGIC sources, Disney is preparing to permanently resume reservation verification for guests boarding Walt Disney World resort hotel buses at Disney Springs.

The move follows a successful test during the Easter period, where Cast Members scanned MagicBands at the Disney Springs bus loop to confirm guests had a valid resort stay, dining reservation, or recreation activity before boarding.

Our sources tell us the Easter trial was considered a success, with the verification process helping to free up capacity on the transportation system. It also addressed a longstanding issue of guests parking at Disney Springs and using Disney bus transportation to reach the theme parks, bypassing parking fees at the parks.

A Word of WARNING About This Disney Springs Bus Rule

We’re less than a month away from the massive Fourth of July celebration, and we’re sending a word of warning for everyone who is going to Disney World for the holiday.

As we get ready for the holiday at Disney World, which will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we have a feeling transportation from some areas around the property will become difficult.

Why do we think transportation will be difficult? Well, we need to go back to Easter and Spring Break of this year, because Disney did something extremely interesting at Disney Springs to combat the crowds.

During Spring Break this year, if you wanted to get on a bus to a nearby hotel from Disney Springs, you had to show Cast Members your hotel or restaurant reservation. There were barricades near the entrances to the bus lines in the shopping and dining district to keep people from just walking to them. Guest Relations Cast Members were stationed nearby with iPads, and they were checking with people why they were heading to the resorts.
