It's been more than two months since the near blockbuster trade that would've sent Pro Bowl defender Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders to the Baltimore Ravens.
The New England Patriots were among many teams mentioned in Crosby trade rumors over the winter and are still in need of an edge rusher.
Crosby Trade Rumors Heating Up Between Raiders and NFC Team
This has been a polarizing offseason for the Las Vegas Raiders, who have completely revamped their roster. While the reclamation project is nowhere near finished, general manager John Spytek has done a stellar job of establishing a foundation in Las Vegas.
As everyone knows by now, Maxx Crosby was nearly traded this offseason before the Baltimore Ravens backed out of an agreed-upon trade for the 28-year-old pass rusher. This week, there were two seismic trades, with two-time Defensive Player of the Year, Myles Garrett, being sent to the Los Angeles Rams, and the New England Patriots acquiring wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles.

Raiders' Maxx Crosby gets trade update involving Cowboys, Bills, Bears and Patriots
The Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens agreed to a deal earlier this offseason to send Crosby to Baltimore in exchange for two first-round picks. The Ravens ended up backing out of the deal, citing a failed physical.
That put Crosby in the odd situation of returning to Vegas and having to play for a team that had already essentially succeeded in trading him.
Everyone said the right things, and they gave off the impression that they wouldn't try to trade him again immediately.
ESPN's Dan Graziano wrote in a new article Thursday, though, that Crosby could still be a logical trade candidate by the 2026 NFL trade deadline.
