Judge to get more tests on ailing rib cage as Yanks seek clarity on injury
NEW YORK – Aaron Judge watched a second consecutive game from the Yankee Stadium bench on Wednesday, and as he did, the Yankees’ medical staff continued to seek a clear read on what is ailing their captain.
A New York-based specialist confirmed the club’s initial diagnosis of a bone bruise near the slugger’s right rib cage, according to manager Aaron Boone, then ordered additional testing.
“He’s going back for some more imaging,” Boone said after the Yankees’ 5-4 loss to the Guardians. “They just want to get some more specific spots, and so we’ll have more on that later [Wednesday or Thursday].”
