Well, kind of. With the Red Sox set to travel to Cleveland for a three-game series beginning Friday, first pitch for Thursdayâs finale with the Braves is 4:10 p.m.
The Sox will be going for the series win after shutting out Atlanta, 8-0, on Wednesday to split the first two games. Connelly Early picked up the win after allowing just four hits and striking out seven in seven innings.
A victory would give the Sox just their second series win at home. They are 1-6-1 at Fenway Park this season.
It will be a matchup of lefthanders in the finale. The Sox will send Payton Tolle to the mound, while the Braves will counter with a familiar face in Chris Sale, now in his third season with Atlanta after spending the previous seven with the Sox.

Red Sox lineup: Former Boston ace will start opposite star rookie in fun pitching matchup
BOSTON — Get ready for a fun pitching matchup at Fenway Park on Thursday.
Former Red Sox ace Chris Sale (7-3, 1.98 ERA) will start for the Braves opposite star rookie Payton Tolle (2-2, 2.45 ERA).
It will be the rubber game of the three-game series between the Red Sox and Braves. The Braves won 7-6 on Tuesday, then Boston won 8-0 on Wednesday.
This marks Sale’s second start against the Red Sox at Fenway since being traded. He outdueled Garrett Crochet here in May 2025, allowing just one run and striking out eight in seven innings.
He also faced Boston at Truist Park in May 2024, allowing no runs and striking out 10 in six innings.
