Aviators Will Start Jalen Morton at Quarterback
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Columbus Aviators’ inaugural season will end without a playoff trip, and with two home games left, the team is turning its focus to evaluating players for the future — starting with a change at quarterback.
The Aviators were mathematically eliminated from playoff contention last weekend with a loss to Birmingham. Now, Head Coach Ted Ginn Jr. is set to start Jalen Morton this week at quarterback.
"I know my path to get back to the NFL," Morton said. "You have to go through this league and show out in this league."
Morton played college football at Prairie View A&M. He went undrafted in 2020 before earning a couple of training camp stints with the Green Bay Packers and the Indianapolis Colts.
