ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — Powerful storms moved through West Michigan, causing downed trees and powerlines, resulting in thousands of people losing power.
Consumers Energy is still reporting over 69,000 customers without power across multiple counties in the state, as of 4:50 p.m., May 18.
Restoration times are starting to be displayed for some outage areas. Most of the restoration times will come in the early morning hours of May 19, the Consumers Energy outage map indicates.

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – The line of storms that produced winds gusting as strong as 80 mph doing tree and house damage are now east. Power outages are still being reported. Storms are racing east and will be out of the state by 7 PM. A muggy night ahead with lows in the mid 60s may help a few more showers pop up overnight.
