After the National Football League announced its inaugural Thanksgiving Eve game, a U.S. senator was not pleased.

The Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams will face off in Inglewood, California, on Thanksgiving Eve, and the game is set to be broadcast exclusively on Netflix.

2026 schedule update: Packers at Rams slated for night before Thanksgiving

GREEN BAY – One day before the full NFL schedule release, the Packers know their first game date for the 2026 season.

The NFL has announced Green Bay will face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium on Wednesday, Nov. 25, the night before Thanksgiving.

The Week 12 matchup, scheduled for 7 p.m. CT, will be on Netflix. It's just the second time in franchise history the Packers will play on a Wednesday. The other was on Sept. 28, 1938, against the Chicago Cardinals in Buffalo.

Green Bay has played on each of the past three Thanksgivings, beating the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field in 2024 and upending Detroit at Ford Field in both 2023 and 2025.
