However, data from Flightradar24 shows that just over an hour into the journey and cruising at 37,000 feet, the Boeing 737 turned south and diverted to Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Southwest flight makes emergency landing after windshield cracks
The windshield on a Southwest Airlines flight cracked May 11, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Oklahoma, federal aviation officials said.
Flight 2665 took off from Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico around 2 p.m. local time and was forced to divert to the Tulsa International Airport in Oklahoma after a crew member reported the incident, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.
The flight landed safely at the Tulsa airport about 4:20 p.m. local time, the FAA reported.
The flight was headed to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport when the crew member noticed the damaged windshield, which the FAA said is comprised of multiple layers of tempered glass and other materials.
