Turning Point USA contributor, family accused of assaulting her share both sides of story
A mother, father and daughter have all been indicted for allegedly assaulting a TurningPoint USA contributor.
It happened outside the Whipple building in Minneapolis during a protest earlier this month.
Paige Ostroushko and her family have been protesting ever since federal agents killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti three months ago.
"It sort of started, Paige was blowing the whistle then it looked like Miss Savanah, she kind of pushed her face," said James Cook, the attorney for the family.
Cook claims the video shows Turning Point USA reporter Savanah Hernandez strikes first.
"What I'll say is it looked like to me that she pushed Paige's face or her head or something similar to that and then it seemed to escalate from there," said Cook.

A Turning Point USA reporter who was assaulted during an anti-ICE protest in Minneapolis is speaking out after a federal grand jury handed down indictments on Tuesday for three individuals in connection with the attack. The indicted individuals were identified by Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche as Christopher Ostroushko, DeYanna Ostroushko and Paige Ostroushko.
"[Savanah] Hernandez was allegedly surrounded, physically assaulted, and shoved to the ground — simply because she was identified by the defendants as a conservative journalist. That is NOT 'peaceful protest.' These deplorable actions as charged in the indictment will not be tolerated in America, and this Department of Justice will always punish unhinged acts of political violence," Blanche wrote on X.

3 family members assaulted Turning Point USA journalist at Minnesota protest, indictment says

Three family members assaulted a journalist who writes for a conservative organization during a protest against immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota, according to an indictment unsealed Wednesday.
Christopher and DeYanna Ostroushko and their daughter, Paige, were each charged by a federal grand jury with one count of assault. The indictment additionally charges Christopher and Paige each with one count of interfering with a federally protected activity.
Christopher Ostroushko also faces state charges of misdemeanor assault, according to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office.
