Kevin Durant injury update: Is Rockets star playing vs. Lakers in Game 5?
When the Houston Rockets acquired Kevin Durant via trade during the offseason, they expected him to elevate the team to new heights, helping propel them beyond the first round of the NBA playoffs and potentially into championship contention.
While Durant has certainly been an incredible player for the Rockets this year, it has been difficult for him to push Houston deeper into the playoffs considering he's been sidelined with a sprained ankle he suffered in Game 2.
Now the Rockets face another elimination game without their best player after Durant was listed as "out" on the team's injury report released Tuesday, April 28. While the Rockets managed to take down the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 4 in Houston without Durant, they will be tasked with repeating the same feat Wednesday, April 29 in Los Angeles in Game 5.
