List of schools in Middle Tenn., Southern Ky. closed or delayed after overnight storms

Schools across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky are closed or delayed on Tuesday due to severe storm damage and/or unsafe conditions from overnight storms across the region.

Overnight storms knock out power for thousands in Middle Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The ongoing severe weather cut power to thousands of Middle Tennessee residents overnight from Monday to Tuesday.

For the Metro Nashville area, Nashville Electric Service reported nearly 15,000 customers without electricity at one point, which had been reduced to just over 13,500 as of 3:30 a.m. Most of those reported outages were in Bellevue and Antioch

The Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation is reporting that more than 2,800 customers are experiencing an outage, with the most being in the Greenbrier area.

Several hundred residents in the city of Clarksville are reporting outages, with more than 600 showing on CDE Lightband’s outage map as of 3 a.m.
