Debbie Harry’s Blondie drops High Noon album pre-order, new LP arrives April 10
Debbie Harry just dropped bombshell news: Blondie’s “High Noon” album is finally heading to pre-order. The iconic new wave band returns April 10 with what may be their most ambitious project since 1999. Here’s everything you need to know about the 80-year-old frontwoman’s triumphant comeback.
Debbie Harry promised fans the album would deliver exactly what made Blondie legendary. In recent interviews, Harry stated that High Noon is “a very traditional Blondie composite of sounds and styles.” The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has worked on the project for several years.
Chris Stein, the band’s co-founder, handled much of the writing duties. Harry brought her distinctive vocal presence and lyrical prowess. Stein told NME the lyrics are “terrific, very sophisticated, mature, and accessible.” This marks a significant return after the band’s 2017 album “Pollinator.”
